I have been an educator in the field of nursing for over 34 years and have made significant contributions to the healthcare field, specializing in both critical care and mental health. I am a compassionate and skilled clinician, who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to providing exemplary care to patients across a diverse range of settings.
Early Career and Critical Care Experience
After completing nursing school, I began working in New York Cities Harlem hospital, VA and Bellevue hospital, with a focus on critical care, working in various intensive care units (ICU), including Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU), Coronary Care Units (CCU), and Trauma. With 18 years of hands-on experience in these high-stress, high-stakes environments, I have honed valuable skills and a deep understanding of acute care management and life-saving interventions.
Throughout this time, I have built a reputation for being an effective, calm, and efficient presence in some of the most challenging situations in healthcare.
As an Adult Nurse Practitioner, I have provided primary and acute care, offering services that range from disease prevention and health promotion to the diagnosis and management of chronic conditions. My expertise in adult care, coupled with her extensive experience in critical care, has enabled me to effectively bridge the gap between hospital-based and outpatient care for patients with complex health needs.
