Genetic testing helps providers decide which medication(s) may be most effective for an individual patient. Swift Creek Mental Health Services uses the GeneSight test.
The GeneSight test does not provide information about the diagnosis. It is used to understand how the body responds to and utilizes certain medications. This test is a valuable tool for supporting clinical decision-making, but it does not take the place of a thorough evaluation.

Assurex Health sponsors a program for patients with medical insurance to obtain genetic testing at a reasonable cost, even if their medical insurance does not cover it. Patients can contact Assurex Health directly to inquire about costs. The current Assurex Health program states that the maximum out-of-pocket expense is $330, and lower rates may be available through their financial aid program.
